The new Mi 10i from Xiaomi is an excellent mid-range device. It packs all the features included in other mid-rangers including 5G compatibility.

Starting with the design, the Mi 10i comes in 3 different stunning colors. Both Atlantic Blue and Pacific Sunrise feature a beautiful gradient while Midnight Black appears simple and minimalistic. Though the device does not come with an AMOLED display, the IPS LCD display still looks stunning and smooth thanks to the 120 hertz refresh rate.

The cameras on the Mi 10i are also excellent. During the daytime, photos are very detailed with great sharpness and accurate colors. Low light photos are also surprisingly excellent as well. The cameras do an outstanding job of capturing and managing all the light it can while keeping the photos accurate, and sharp. Compared to other midrangers such as the Oneplus Nord, the Mi 10i captures low light photos much more accurately than the Nord. Photos taken on the Nord are more yellow and fuzzy while on the Mi 10i are much more sharp and clear.

Videos on the Mi 10i can be shot in 720p at 30 FPS, 1080p at 30 or 60 FPS, and 4k at 30 FPS. Overall video quality is excellent with natural colors and nice dynamic range. Video stability is also very good but when in very bumpy situations such as offroading in a car, it is mediocre. The selfie camera is also excellent with consistent photos with good exposure and detail.

Moving on to performance, the Mi 10i is very fast considering it does not come with the Snapdragon 765G, but the Snapdragon 750G. Daily tasks on the device are fast and smooth with almost no lag. Gaming is also very smooth and consistent even while running games such as Call of Duty Mobile at the highest graphics settings with high frames-per-second. The Mi 10i performs good, but there are a few bugs users may run into. Considering the device just came out, this is totally fine especially since Xiaomi will release several updates to fix these.

So, overall the Xiaomi Mi 10i is an excellent mid-range option. It is fast, sleek, and offers one of the best camera setups compared to other mid-ranged devices.
