Description

The Acer Chromebook 315 brings together a spacious 15.6‑inch Full HD display, dependable internals, and the streamlined functionality of Chrome OS into an affordable, well‑rounded laptop. With its large screen, this Chromebook gives you plenty of room for documents, spreadsheets, videos, and multitasking windows—making it a strong fit whether you’re working, learning, or streaming. The display is paired with a ComfyView (anti‑glare) finish that helps reduce reflections, improving visibility in bright rooms or near windows.

Under the hood, this model is powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor—dual‑core with base speeds around 1.10 GHz and bursts up to 2.80 GHz. Combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage, it delivers enough performance for everyday web tasks, such as browsing, word processing, video calls, and streaming. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle video playback and casual content creation work. Because it runs Chrome OS, you’ll benefit from fast boot times, built‑in security, and automatic updates—ideal for users who value simplicity, reliability, and minimal maintenance.

On the design side, the Chromebook is surprisingly portable for a 15.6″ machine—it weighs approximately 1.6 kg (about 3.5 lbs) and is around 20 mm (about 0.8″) thick, which makes it practical for carrying between classes, meetings, or travel. The build features a full-size keyboard with numeric keypad, a large touchpad, and a broad selection of ports—including multiple USB‑C and USB‑A connections and a micro‑SD reader—giving you plenty of flexibility for external monitors, peripherals, and storage expansion.

Battery life is designed to cover a typical work or school day. Depending on usage and settings, users report up to around 10 hours of usage in many configurations. That makes the Chromebook a practical pick for classrooms, cafes, or any location where you want to minimize plugging in. With the large screen, portable build, and Chrome OS ecosystem, this Chromebook is well suited for students, casual home users, or anyone seeking a budget laptop that doesn’t compromise on size or basic functionality.

Ask a Question

Why are Unlocked phones better than Locked phones?

Whenever you are in the market to purchase a phone, you have a choice: do you buy an unlocked phone or a locked phone?

The answer is simple: Always go with an unlocked phone. Unlocked phones are better for several reasons:

  1. They are usually less expensive than a locked phone. Locked phones are typically sold by carriers (i.e. AT&T, Verizon etc) and they sell them for significantly more than what you'll find at Wireless Place.

  2. Unlocked phones can be used on almost any carrier anywhere in the world. You can take your phone with you when you travel abroad and just insert your SIM card into your unlocked phone. Begin using your phone via text, calls, data.

  3. Flexibility to switch carriers. If you find out that a phone carrier is going to give you a better price than the current carrier you're using, go ahead and switch. Simply insert the new SIM card into your unlocked phone and begin using it.
