The Blink Mini 2 is a compact, plug-in security and pet camera designed for simple, effective home monitoring. It captures crisp 1080p HD video with a wide 143-degree field of view, offering clear visuals across rooms, entryways, or pet areas. Its upgraded lens and processor deliver improved clarity and motion tracking compared to the original Mini.
One of the key new features is the built-in spotlight, which enables color night vision. This means you'll be able to see more detailed footage in low-light conditions, such as facial features or clothing colors, rather than relying on standard infrared. The spotlight activates automatically with motion or can be manually triggered through the Blink app.
The camera includes motion detection and two-way audio, so you can receive real-time alerts, hear what's happening, and speak through the camera using your smartphone. It also supports person detection (with a Blink subscription), which helps reduce unnecessary notifications by identifying human movement specifically.
While the Mini 2 is primarily an indoor camera, it can be used outdoors when paired with Blink’s optional weather-resistant power adapter. It’s rated IP65 for water and dust resistance and uses a standard USB-C connection. Mounting options include tabletop placement or wall and ceiling installation using the included hardware.
Storage is flexible. You can choose between cloud storage with a subscription plan or local storage using a Blink Sync Module 2 and a USB flash drive (sold separately). The Blink Mini 2 integrates with Alexa-enabled devices, allowing for hands-free control and live viewing via Echo Show or Fire TV.
