Its USB-C connection simplifies installation and enhances compatibility with newer Ring camera models. For older models, an included USB-C to barrel plug adapter ensures seamless integration. The panel's adjustable mounting base allows for 360-degree rotation and 180-degree tilt, enabling optimal positioning to maximize sun exposure.

With a 6.5 ft (2 m) cable length and built-in cable management, the installation process is straightforward and tidy. Ring recommends placing the solar panel in an area that receives at least 2–3 hours of direct sunlight per day to maintain optimal performance. Constructed to withstand various weather conditions, the panel operates effectively within a temperature range of -5°F to 120°F (-20.5°C to 48.5°C).
