Description

The Moto G (2025) continues Motorola's tradition of delivering budget-friendly smartphones with commendable features. This device offers a blend of performance, design, and functionality suitable for everyday use.

Design and Display: The phone boasts a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. While the HD+ resolution (1604 × 720) might not match higher-end models, it provides satisfactory clarity for daily tasks. The device features a water-repellent design with an IP54 rating, a vegan leather back, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front, combining aesthetics with durability.

Performance: Under the hood, the Moto G (2025) is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and storage options of 64GB or 128GB, expandable via microSD. While it handles everyday applications efficiently, it's worth noting that performance may lag with more demanding tasks.

Camera: Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-camera setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 2MP macro lens. The 16MP front camera caters to selfies and video calls. Camera software enhancements include features like Night Vision, Portrait Mode, and Google Lens integration.

Battery and Other Features: A 5,000mAh battery powers the device, supporting 30W wired charging, ensuring extended usage without frequent recharges. Additional features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on Android 15, with Motorola promising two major OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

Ask a Question

Why are Unlocked phones better than Locked phones?

Whenever you are in the market to purchase a phone, you have a choice: do you buy an unlocked phone or a locked phone?

The answer is simple: Always go with an unlocked phone. Unlocked phones are better for several reasons:

  1. They are usually less expensive than a locked phone. Locked phones are typically sold by carriers (i.e. AT&T, Verizon etc) and they sell them for significantly more than what you'll find at Wireless Place.

  2. Unlocked phones can be used on almost any carrier anywhere in the world. You can take your phone with you when you travel abroad and just insert your SIM card into your unlocked phone. Begin using your phone via text, calls, data.

  3. Flexibility to switch carriers. If you find out that a phone carrier is going to give you a better price than the current carrier you're using, go ahead and switch. Simply insert the new SIM card into your unlocked phone and begin using it.
