Description

The Acer 311 EDU Chromebook (model CB311‑10H‑42LY) is a compact, education‑focused laptop built around simplicity and durability. It features an 11.6‑inch HD display (typically 1366 × 768) with an anti‑glare panel, designed for clear viewing in classrooms, libraries, or other learning settings. The design emphasizes portability and practicality, suitable for students or users who need a lightweight machine to carry around.

Inside, the CB311 is powered by an AMD A‑series A4‑9120C dual‑core processor, offering basic computing capabilities sufficient for tasks like web browsing, document editing, video playback, and Chrome OS apps. It comes with 4 GB of DDR4 memory and 64 GB of eMMC storage, which provides modest local capacity while leveraging cloud storage as part of the Chrome OS ecosystem. The machine supports 802.11ac (WiFi 5) for wireless networking and Bluetooth 4.2 for peripheral connectivity, such as headphones, keyboards, or mice.

From a usability standpoint, the Chromebook includes standard I/O options (USB ports, a headphone jack, etc.) and benefits from Chrome OS’s fast boot times, auto-updates, and security features. The EDU label suggests it may also come with added ruggedness or administrative controls for school deployments. Overall, the Acer 311 EDU is a solid entry-level Chromebook aimed at education or basic use, where portability, ease of use, and reliability matter more than high-end performance.

Ask a Question

Why are Unlocked phones better than Locked phones?

Whenever you are in the market to purchase a phone, you have a choice: do you buy an unlocked phone or a locked phone?

The answer is simple: Always go with an unlocked phone. Unlocked phones are better for several reasons:

  1. They are usually less expensive than a locked phone. Locked phones are typically sold by carriers (i.e. AT&T, Verizon etc) and they sell them for significantly more than what you'll find at Wireless Place.

  2. Unlocked phones can be used on almost any carrier anywhere in the world. You can take your phone with you when you travel abroad and just insert your SIM card into your unlocked phone. Begin using your phone via text, calls, data.

  3. Flexibility to switch carriers. If you find out that a phone carrier is going to give you a better price than the current carrier you're using, go ahead and switch. Simply insert the new SIM card into your unlocked phone and begin using it.
