Description

The Amazon Luna Wireless Controller is designed specifically for use with Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming platform, offering a smooth and responsive experience by connecting directly to the cloud. Rather than relying on traditional Bluetooth, it uses Cloud Direct technology, which links the controller straight to Amazon’s gaming servers over Wi-Fi. This method helps reduce input lag significantly, making gameplay feel quicker and more precise—an important advantage in fast-paced or competitive games.

The controller itself is thoughtfully designed with a layout that will feel familiar to most gamers. It features offset analog sticks, a standard D-pad, four face buttons, and responsive triggers and bumpers. There’s also a dedicated Luna button in the center, along with an Alexa voice command button and a built-in microphone. Textured grips and well-balanced weight make it comfortable for extended play sessions, while built-in vibration motors enhance immersion during gameplay.

Versatility is another strong point. While it's optimized for Luna, the controller also includes Bluetooth Low Energy and USB-C support, so it can be used with a wide range of devices including Windows PCs, Macs, Android phones, and tablets. It's powered by two AA batteries, which are included in the box, and while the USB-C port allows for wired play, it does not charge the controller—since it doesn’t have a built-in rechargeable battery. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also built in for voice chat or private audio.

Overall, the Amazon Luna Controller strikes a good balance between functionality and performance. It’s ideal for gamers who are already invested in the Luna ecosystem, offering low latency and cross-device convenience. Though the use of AA batteries may be seen as a downside by some, the controller’s strong wireless performance and comfort make it a dependable companion for cloud gaming.

Ask a Question

Why are Unlocked phones better than Locked phones?

Whenever you are in the market to purchase a phone, you have a choice: do you buy an unlocked phone or a locked phone?

The answer is simple: Always go with an unlocked phone. Unlocked phones are better for several reasons:

  1. They are usually less expensive than a locked phone. Locked phones are typically sold by carriers (i.e. AT&T, Verizon etc) and they sell them for significantly more than what you'll find at Wireless Place.

  2. Unlocked phones can be used on almost any carrier anywhere in the world. You can take your phone with you when you travel abroad and just insert your SIM card into your unlocked phone. Begin using your phone via text, calls, data.

  3. Flexibility to switch carriers. If you find out that a phone carrier is going to give you a better price than the current carrier you're using, go ahead and switch. Simply insert the new SIM card into your unlocked phone and begin using it.
